So You Want to Compete? This is a series of workshops that starts from the most basic questions
like; do you want to compete, where to compete, how to construct a contest
routine, and what does the scoring criteria mean. Each workshop will help
the competitor create a solid routine that will score well. Even if you
aren't interested in competing, taking this workshop will help you learn how
to create a well-balanced routine that will show off your ability. Students
are expected to come away from this experience being able to self-critique,
with a higher level of technical ability, and with a greater understanding
of how contest scoring works so that they can maximize their score. While
these workshops cannot guarantee that you will win or place in a contest,
Taaj has created more than 14 award winning dancers since 2002. She can do
the same for you. (4 hours each)
